What is a D-8 Visa?

The D-8 visa (Corporate Investment) is a visa that allows foreigners who have invested in Korea under the Foreign Investment Promotion Act to stay for essential activities in management, administration, or production/technology of the invested enterprise.

The primary targets are CEOs, executives, or key technical personnel of foreign-invested companies, with a maximum stay of up to 5 years with renewal options.

Key Eligibility Requirements

  • Completed foreign investment report under FIPA
  • Investment amount of KRW 100 million or more
  • Actual business operation (office, employees, etc.)
  • Lawful business activities
  • No criminal record and not subject to entry ban
